Shiraz Bayjoo’s work is an exploration into collective, emerging identities and porous borders. He collects people's stories and works through a process of simplifying and reformatting images and video to produce emotionally and politically charged paintings, photographs, and installations.

What do you like? Painting, travelling, meeting new people, chillies, maps, forests, old photographs, stories, the ocean, swimming, French pastries, galleries, films, and art!
What don’t you like? Inconsiderate people
What’s the best thing about being an artist? Provoking peoples emotions and senses
If you could have any artwork in your house, what would it be? Any one of the wondrous Persian miniature paintings of the 15th & 16th Century
What’s your advice for young artists? Never give up!
